As always, we try to be as eco-friendly as possible, and we think you’d prefer that too. Therefore we recommend using ground based transport. However, the following are ways to get to London:
You could use the Eurostar, from either Paris or Brussels to get to St Pancras Station in London.
Use London’s official guide to find useful information on ways to travel to London by ferry, and how to get to Central London.
If you find yourself out of luck with the other methods of transport, you can travel to London by plane. Use this page to find out more.
Moving around in London
There are quite a few ways to get around in London. The iconic black cabs are costly, so we recommend using the underground. With this, we recommend the oyster card because with this card, the fares are much lower, and when you leave, you can get a full refund for the physical card (5 GBP) in most stations where there is a cashier.
Gatwick to Central London
The cheapest way to travel from gatwick is to get a bus, or a ‘southern’ train – i.e. not the Gatiwck express. These will go into Victoria station, and then you will change to the Tube (where you’d either purchase tube tickets or get an oyster card.
